Bonus - Going From "I'm Garbage" To True Self Love w/ Corey Spade - From The Archives

Welcome to a special episode from the archives. Before The Queer Confidence Podcast, I had a podcast called Becoming Brave. It was filled with awesome content over the course of 2020. When I rebranded, I took down the old episodes. But I got a strong tug to re-release this episode for you all. It's a BRILLIANT one. And something tells me that one of you really needs to hear from Corey about how he overcame his negative self-talk.

I'll be doing more of these bonus From The Archives episodes in the future. I don't have a plan for when just whenever my soul gets a tug. So to make sure you're subscribed if you want to see them when they launch.

-------

Today I have a special guest with me.

Corey Spade and I have been friends through Instagram for about a year now, and 4 months ago I started coaching him.

On our first consultation, he told me “I’m garbage and I don’t think you can help me.” He was deep in self-loathing.

Now 4 months later, he is standing up for himself at work, looking in the mirror with love for his body, and beginning plans for opening his own restaurant. He’s on FIRE!

I’m beyond proud of him and so excited for you to hear his words of advice today.

In this episode Corey shares about:

  • Coming back from hitting rock bottom

  • Turning around self-loathing

  • Overcoming body shame

  • Being a gay kid growing up in a conservative household

  • And freedom from people-pleasing

This is a value PACKED episode. I’m so thankful to Corey for his vulnerability.
